I know! How about...I really don't like sharing a computer with my family. They're computer hogs. It seems that every time I need to get on the computer, someone's already there. Of course, they're always doing something "really important". Oh well.
I've been sewing like crazy for the past few days and thoroughly enjoying it. I also finally finished the quilt top to a quilt I had promised the in-laws months ago. It has five different colors to represent our five children and their favorite colors at the time. Marina isn't old enough to tell us her favorite color so we guessed purple for her because Maddy's is, of course, pink. Wanna see? Well I'm going to show you anyway! So there.
Here it is flipped the other way.
It's bright. Just like my children. Hah! I'm too funny. Now I just have to quilt it.
That reminds me. My birthday is coming up. Naturally, I asked my husband for an extension table for my sewing machine. It's just an 18" x 24" or 24" x 24" table/arm that sits on your sewing table and fits around your sewing machine to give you more flat space level with your sewing machine to sew big things like quilts. They cost around $79 bucks.
So...naturally...what does my husband get me?
A 9mm Ruger SR9 GUN.
Although, I must admit that it's a pretty nice gun. We actually went shooting yesterday at a friends house. My (and I'm embarrassed to admit this) first time ever to shoot a gun. I actually shot 3 different ones. Two different 9mm and a 45. Mark and his two friends seemed to be impressed that I shot so well for my first time.
Mark used to always get mad at me because I wouldn't go shoot with him, but the truth is...I didn't need another freakin hobby!
I always thought that I'd probably enjoy it too much. I was right.

The quilt is amazing. I love the bright colors and what they represent.
Like the gun too. I still haven't shot ours. I admit I'm scared to death of it. I told James that I would figure it out pretty quick if we had an intruder though!

Girl, I have a 357 that has not been shot in a while. How about a "girl's day out" at the range?

Sounds like a lot of fun Teri!
Kerrie, you just need to go with James and shoot that gun. Once you pull the trigger a couple of times you won't be scared any more. I promise. I really regret not doing it sooner. It was a lot of fun!
Love Ya'll,
Me

Just got back from FL and I love the quilt.
As for the gun.............let me go outside and see if there is any pigs flying. Have you two freaking lost your minds. I can see the headlines now, on second thought I don't even want to go there.
Have fun with the weapons and BE CAREFUL!!!!

huh what do you mean? headlines. Homeowner protects family from intruder, Or Wife protects family from intruder. Sounds good to me. We need more of that than the normal headlines.
